VResorts acquihires Techafaqs in a new age travel solutions deal. Techafaqs is a part of Banyan Netfaqs Pvt Ltd which publishes afaqs!, an advertising, media and marketing space. Acquihiring has been in vogue in the Silicon Valley and been picked up well in India as well from last one year.

Now, with Techafaqs as part of VResorts, we are independently meeting our technology needs in house. A fully-equipped technology stack enabled us to firstly consolidate our web applications, including all the internal systems. We recreated our website in tandem with the customer feedback and internet trends. The tech arm set up the internal IVR with call-center, again a move that reduced our dependence on any outside vendor.

The future of business is about delivering great customer experience at minimum costs. Now, with fully-functional PIS (Property Information System), we have been able to centralise information of properties from across India. This means efficiency and accuracy to the customer, translating into a fulfilling consumer experience.

The tech arm has also created a unique booking engine. Through it, the customer cannot just book rooms in resorts but plan their whole holiday experience, from the moment they are picked from airport, food choices, activities they want to engage in etc, till dropped back. This way they can even know the cost they will incur for their stay. It is one-of-a-kind concept, where a company is able to consolidate all its tech requirements at one place giving users a full choice and control.
