Murli Menon, CEO, Virtual Media Infotech Pvt Ltd, says, "This alliance will provides us with tremendous ground level visibility, besides allowing us to cash in on the popularity of the Archies gift stores and galleries with the upmarket audience in the major cities and towns. We would now be able to increase awareness for Virtual Mahazine manifold."

Point-of-Purchase branding in the outlets presents the product with a high degree of visibility which the company hopes would have an impact on sales and consequently on revenues. Beside, there are plans for joint promotions and road shows in the near future.

According to Vineet Kapila, CMO and Alliances, archiesonline.com, "Being a synergistic alliance, it allows us to link up archiesonline.com with Virtual Mahazine. Opportunities like e-cards on the Mahazine arise out of this alliance. Subscribers of the Virtual Mahazine can henceforth send Archies e-cards to their loved ones by selecting one from the samples provided on the CD and with the click of a button get transported to the archiesonline.com site from where they can send the greeting electronically. More such synergies are being worked out."

Magazine, which was launched last year, is already five issues old. With a print run of 100,000 copies, it has been a huge success across all the 73 cities and towns.

Moreover, it has become equally popular with consumer goods companies. The first ones to jump on to the bandwagon have been Samsung, Dialnet and Revlon amongst others.
