The channel community of Allahabad recently elected Vipin Gupta from Vipin
Enterprises as its new President for Allahabad Computer Dealer Welfare
Association (ACDWA) for this year. The election took place on April 23 where
more than 80 members of the association cast their votes for this annual event.
Formed about 10 years ago the channel voice of the Allahabad region, ACDWA is
aiming to focus on devising new ways of increasing profitability for the channel
community. As part of this initiative, the association's newly elected
president is planning to organize a computer mela at Allahabad on a regular
basis. “The objective of the association is to increase profitability for our
partners. Keeping that in mind, we are going to organize a computer mela, which
would be an ideal place for not only the dealers from Allahabad but also from

With this initiative, the association is likely to attract channel players
from adjoining areas like Mirzapur, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Handiya, Meja and
Koraon. “These are very small places but there is a lot of IT activity going
on in these areas. We want to increase our focus towards these areas so that
newer opportunities can be created for the growth of our community,” he added.
Working for the benefit of the channel community, the association is also
planning to take notice of bigger problems being faced by the regional players.
“We will look into problems that our community faces. Whether it is an issue
with vendors, or distributors, we will try to solve them as soon as possible.
This will be an ideal platform to address such issues on a regular basis,”
Gupta explained.
At present, the association has 87 members and moving forward it is aiming to
increasing this figure to 150 within this year.
