Vintron introduces 32MB AGP card

Vintron Informatics, manufacturers of PCs and peripherals, has launched 32MB AGP card in the market. The card is priced Rs 1700.

The new card comes with specifications such as 32MB video memory, floating point engine, single cycle 3D architecture, support 32MB memory onboard for 3D optimized display, full AGP 4x/2x including sideband addressing and execute mode, S3 DX6 texture compression (S3TC), high quality DVD video playback, line draw and rectangle fill, to name a few. 

The card also provides 800 million pixels per second single cycle trilinear architecture for 3D enhancement, hardware horizontal & vertical interpolation for smooth upscaling and motion video and 300 MHz RAMDAC with gamma correction for high refresh rate up to 120 Hz support. The card also supports motion compensation for full speed DVD video playback with software player, driver supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT/ and Windows 2000 and full software support, Direct3D, Direct Draw, ActiveX, and OpenGL.

According to Manish Agarwal, Director - Operations of Vintron, "The product is targeted at SME segment which is an effort on our part to tap the upper segment of the market." 

To add to Vintron marketing strengths the company is planning to have 150 exclusive Vintron retail showrooms across the country; appointing separate sales channel for components, peripherals, and PC and organizing `customer interface program' countrywide.
