Vijayawada expects IT boom in two years

The IT market which sees a lot of happening in near future is Vijayawada. Anticipated to become the capital of newly formed state of Seemandhra, Vijayawada partners hopes it to become the IT hub of south in the coming years.

"Wipro, Infosys and other IT companies too I believe will start their IT office in Vijayawada. This city along with Gunture and Nellore will become the IT hub for IT and IteS. All our IT dealers they are going to get bigger market because new retail market is going to emerge for IteS, telecom, finance. So when retail grows IT dealers are expected to get good business. Given this I believe our Vijayawada market will grow by ten fold in two years time", says Murali, President of Vijayawada IT association and CEO, Expert systems.

Situated on the banks of river Krishna, Vijayawada IT association consists of 105 members dealing in solution providing, reselling and distribution.

Before the state bifurcation the Hyderabad market, which largely depended on Seemandhra, always played an upper-hand when it came to customer servicing. But now with Vijayawada poised to become Seemandhra's capital, the city is believed to occupy an important role in the IT industry of south.
