Technologies India
has been in news for service issues. Over the past six months, the
company has received several complaints related to display that turns
off suddenly and monitor cropping. Other than this, customers and
channel partners are facing problems while logging in service
complaints to its designated center. The unavailability of spare
parts has added to the worries of its customers. According to the
ViewSonic and channel feedback, the things have improved drastically
and the company is focussing on customer satisfaction.

Chennai-based K Rathinam of ICOM said
that a customer reported a monitor problem recently that was resolved
by logging into the company's service redressal Web portal. Mamta N,
Project Manager at RT Outsourcing, which offer service repairs to
ViewSonic's customers echoed a similar view. "ViewSonic has
revamped its service repair segment and there have been no more
issues that were earlier cropped up due to unavailability of spare
parts. The company is now putting emphasis on customer satisfaction,"
said Mamta.

Speaking to The DQ Week on
service repairs, Gautam Ghosh, Country Manager, ViewSonic
Technologies India said that they have already discontinued sales of
CRT models and hence expect very less warranty units to be available
in the open market. “Moreover all logged calls are already closed
and we are replacing the same with LCD monitors wherever required, to
ensure timely service for all our esteemed customers," he
stated. According to Ghosh, the company even allows channel partners
to log in their complaints through online RMA service. “Customers
can write to us and RMA number can be generated by just providing
basic information regarding their ViewSonic model,” he added.

"On an average the company's
ViewCare receives 500-800 service complaints a month. It supports all
India origin calls with a presence of more than 80 service locations
and over 300 service engineers. Complaints can be logged through easy
accessible call logging options and timely on-site engineer support
would be provided for the same,” said Ghosh. The company maintains
service warehouses in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru. Sudhir S,
MD of Inspan Infotech, which has been roped in recently by ViewSonic
as its ND said that their experience has been very good with the
company on the products, they distribute. "ViewSonic is
providing efficient support to us and partners. Our association
started a quarter ago and we do not have any complaints on ViewSonic
monitors so far. Inspan is getting support whenever we request,"
signed off Sudhir.
