ViewSonic expands operations in India

ViewSonic is now looking at expanding its footprint into PCs and consumer
electronics' segment. The company has launched several global flagship products
for the first time in India.

The new product line includes a wide range of netbooks, notebooks, all in one
PCs (AIO), mini PCs, media players, VPDs, digital photo frames, etc to be
offered to the Indian market.

Expanding its range of offerings in the PC/computing segment, ViewSonic
brings a slew of products that cater to the needs of a wide range of users. One
of them is called 'Viewbook', a notebook that comes with Windows 7.

In order to support its market expansion plans, ViewSonic has established its
complete India operations. ViewSonic India, which was previously more into
business development, will now be having a full-fledged operational base in
India. Local warehouses and billing points are already being put up at various
locations in a phase-wise manner.

Announcing the expansion, Gautam Ghosh, Country Manager, ViewSonic India
said, "Our expansion of business operations is in alignment with our plans of
capitalizing on the growing demand and to strengthen ViewSonic's share in the
Indian market. The new range of products showcases our commitment to offering
display-centric digital entertainment and personal computing."
