style="font-weight: normal;">India
is booming in technology industries these days. The laptop market is
growing at a fast rate because of change in the work life of
consumers. As the need for anytime, anywhere access to information is
increasing, the sale of laptops is also increasing. Other factors
that are responsible for the hike in sales are reduction in prices
and affordability. Laptops are now sold at approximately half the
price at which they were sold two years ago. Laptop prices are now
almost at par with desktop computer prices,” added Singhania.
Besides
expanding its footprint, Venktron has also added Dell, HP, Lenovo,
Acer to its product line in the past 2 months. The company's turnover
in the last financial year was around Rs 152 crore, but it is aiming to
increase the figure by another 50% this year. “Our revenue
growth is attributed to the positive market spin in the
industry-specific products. We had a turnover of Rs 152 crore in the
last fiscal, and are optimistic about the future growth," said
Singhania.
