The electronics and consumer durables major, Guard Industries Pvt Ltd, would
be launching their new range of UPS products — UPS 50 Legend and UPS 60
Vismaya, which would cater home, small and medium business segments in India.
Unveiling the product details, Madhu S, Head — UPS division, said,
"These two models comes with features such as intelligent shut down
software, with an inbuilt quality of automatic saving of unsaved files and modem
protection socket."
UPS 50 Legend is designed exclusively for low voltage areas, with regular
power fluctuations and is priced at Rs 2800. It would support a current capacity
of 140 volts to 300 volts, besides functioning with a 17-inch monitor, he said.
"And, as far as UPS 60 Vismaya is concerned, this particular range of UPS
would be targeting high-end monitors and can support functioning upto 19-inch
monitors and comes in with 600 VA capacity," he observed.
Besides introducing new series of UPS product range, we have also reduced the
current MRP of UPS 50 Royal from Rs 2900 to Rs 2600, from this month. "This
move is part of our strategy to increase the IT share and thereby match to the
market needs," Madhu said and added that these three products would drive
the V-Guard among the home and SOHO segment in the domestic market and expects a
50-70 percent growth through these three range of products.
Having strong presence in the South, V-Guard has over 65 distributors and
around 400 dealers, nationally. "We are planning to increase our dealers
network in Andhra Pradesh and other parts of West and North to gradually
strengthen the dealership-network nationally," he observed.
It may be mentioned that V-Guard is a leading name in the industry of
electronics and consumer durables, which manufactures products such as UPS,
inverters, stabilizers, cabling solutions etc.
