Uttar
Pradesh channel partners have formulated the guidelines and mission statement
for their statewide association--Eastern UP Computer Dealers Association (EUPCDA).
In a recently held meeting at Allahabad, the dealers have decided that the
statewide association will be formed with the help of six primary associations
of the cities of Allahabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Sonbhadra and Bareilly.
"The
meeting at Allahabad was attended by 13 members from all over the state and was
extremely useful for us. We have formulated the guidelines and our mission
statement for the association. We are meeting on July 27 at Lucknow's Elora
Hotel to elect the President and other office bearers for the statewide
association. This association is likely to have around 500 members from
different parts of the state," said Manish Mehrotra, President, Allahabad
Dealers Association, and the prime mover behind the formation of the statewide
association.
According
to the guidelines for the soon to be formed association--there will be one
President, one Vice President, two Secretaries, and one Joint Secretary. In
addition to these five office bearers, it will also have five executive body
members who will participate in the association's day-to-day activities.
It
has also been decided that each individual member of the association will have
to pay a minimum fee to become the member of the statewide association.
"This particular fee will be different for different cities and for
Allahabad it is going to be Rs 7,000. This money will be spent in organization
association led activities and get together as well," pointed out Mehrotra.
Though
as of now only six cities have come forward to join hands in the formation of
this association but very soon two more cities--Pratapgarh and Rai Bareily are
going to join up. "This is the initial stage for us and I am sure as we
move forward this association will become more stronger and will provide all the
resellers a broad platform to interact with all the other statewide
resellers," he added.
