Universal Computer hosts HCL laptop fair at Siliguri

Universal Computer in association with HCL launched the
latter's latest range of laptops at Siliguri. To mark the occasion Universal
hosted a two-day laptop fair last month at Hotel Dolly Inn, Siliguri. “Till
now there were only a couple of models available of HCL laptops leaving the end
users very limited choice,” stated Devjyoti Gupta, Director Uni­versal
Computer. “But with the launch of this latest range that consists of twelve mo­dels,
starting from lower to hig­her configurations we have now a complete basket to
offer to the customers,” he added,

Gupta is highly optimistic of the new products keeping in
mind their quality and price. “HCL has produced these laptops keeping in mind
the budget factor. The laptops come with good con­figura­tions combined with
attrac­tive price,” informed Gupta.

The fair saw live demo of the newly launched laptops to
educate the customers. “The products were highly appre­ciated by the
visitors. We had eight on spot bookings in those two days and a large amount of
registered enqui­ries,” he said. Universal also bundled some exciting offers
with the on - spot bookings for the customers. Gifts like, bluetooth devices,
card rea­ders, mini mouse and headphones were delivered along with the laptops.

On the first month since the launch Universal sold fourteen
units in spite of the odds related to year ending. “This time being a dry
season we couldn't have asked for more. We received tremen­dous response from
the customers,” said Gupta. The company is expecting the demand to increase in
the coming months. “For the first quarter our target is to sell at least
fifteen units per month,” concluded Gupta.
