Unistal establishes data recovery lab at Nehru Place

Unistal Systems Pvt Ltd, providing various data care services, recently launched a data recovery laboratory at the IT hub of India--Nehru Place. Its data care services include data loss prevention utilities, automated data recovery tool, data wip, disk repair and data protect.

It has been providing these software services across the nation through 90 distributors and over 1,000 resellers; is in the process of introducing similar services in the market, especially the anti-viruses. The software are unique in its services and so far have been the leaders.

The lab aims at providing various kinds of data retrieval services to end users. Anyone can send the harddisk/MO/Zip/Jazz drives, CDs and floppies or similar kind of storage media to this lab. The engineers will analyze the media and provide an estimated cost for the recovery of the data.

The Unistal Data Recovery Lab can recover data from most of the media failures such as storage area (SA) failure or disk area (DA) failures, which can be caused by virus, physical damaged media, OS failure, power fluctuations or accidental disk format. The SA damaged data retrieval can cost between Rs 1,000 to Rs 4,000 and DA damaged media data for Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000.

Said Alok Gupta, MD, Unistal, "As the companies become more technology savvy, data is becoming crucial. Data is money for people and we help them to find their lost assets. We want to aid all the data owners to recover their valued data without much trouble and expenses." On an average the lab is getting 250 jobs per month from Delhi and up country market. Targeting corporates, DTP, PM workers and banks, Gupta foresees a total revenue of Rs 40 lakh from this lab.

Unistal is also exporting its data recovery software to Canada and the Middle East. With a target of Rs 1.8 crore in the coming financial year, the company is anticipating to sell one lakh data loss prevention software packages in India.
