Unistal appoints seven regional distis in India

Delhi-based data recovery solutions vendor, Unistal Systems has appointed
seven regional distributors for distributing its data recovery software systems
- Unistal Crash Proof plus Anti Virus, First Backup, Crash Proof data loss
prevention software, Restore and Quick Recovery Automated Data Recovery Tool.
The distributors are Mumbai-based Aladdin Multi-media, which will focus on
Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. The six other distribu-tors are Safe Zone in
Chennai, Ashram Computers in Ban-galore, Trifin Technology in Delhi, Sea Infonet
in Kolkata and Supra Computer in Nagpur and Nemi Computers in Ahmedabad.

"In the next 10 days, we will finalize few more regional distributors to
represent Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Surat, Baroda and Goa," said Pankaj
Jain, Regional Manager, Unistal in Mumbai.

In the next quarter, the company will begin the next phase of its channel
expansion in the months of April, where it intends to add additional
distributors for Mumbai, Baroda and Surat. Unistal recently launched Crash Proof
data loss prevention software, integrated with anti-virus software from
Kaspersky. 

"Unistal products not only protect the system from viruses, but also
saves it from a sudden crash. If ever data loss occurs, Crash Proof calculates
the system parameters and revives the data back, not only recovering lost files
but also reducing downtime," said Pankaj. The product is priced at Rs 1,800
per box. The dealers get two boxes free on purchase of every 10 boxes.

Commenting on the appointment process, Pankaj said, "We have looked at
part-ners who were already in to anti-virus business and were strong at
retailing side." While partners have officially agreed to operate under the
given reg-ions, they are free to explore markets where distributors have not yet
been appointed.
