Unicorn to distribute Wacom's Bamboo pen and touch range

Japan-based, href="https://www.dqweek.com/wacom-launches-interactive-tablets">Wacom
has roped in Unicorn
Infosolutions to distribute its Bamboo range of multi-touch input and
pen tablets throughout the country. Unicorn is a Delhi-based
distributor with an annual turnover of around Rs 40 crore. In
addition to the existing channel partners, the company plans to
distribute Wacom's products through Croma and Reliance Digital.

Wacom derives nearly 10 percent of its
revenue from the product sales in Asia Oceania, while 32

percent
of its sales revenue come from the USA. The company's major business
units include ESD (Electronic Systems and Devices) and ECS
(Exchanging Collaborative Systems). Designed on the basis of consumer
trends and iPhone features, Bamboo offers a user-friendly experience
with multi-touch functionality and pen-tablet technology. The company
has earlier introduced 21-inch Cintiq touchpad with two back
touch-strips, which is based on the Tip Sensor technology.

Rajeev Nagar, Country Manager, Wacom,
India said, “Bamboo pen and touch range has ergonomic design and
its other features include eraser tip, pressure sensitivity and
high-speed EMR position sensor. It supports creative design and
graphics and is powered with MSN Messenger7.0.” According to him,
Bamboo is versatile, intelligent and has flexible usability that can
be customized. “With the growing product portfolio, we are looking
at strategic expansion. The company currently operates with more than
75 channel partners through two national distributors, Unicorn
Infosolutions and Neoteric Infomatique,” added Nagar. The new range
of Bamboo products include Bamboo, Bamboo Fun, Bamboo Pen and Bamboo
Touch. Bamboo Pen and Touch is priced at Rs 7,200 while Bamboo Fun
Pen and Touch comes for Rs 12,500.
