In a move towards diversify its business, Ritchie Street-based trader
Uniaccess Computers has floated a new company called Envision Infotec Pvt Ltd,
mainly to deal with importing and distribu-tion of products, under the brand
name-Exoan. Recently, the company has introduced a wide range of products under
'Exoan', such as cabinets, internal modems, AGP cards, sound cards, USB
cards and digicam, in the market. "Next month, we are bringing in
key-boards, mouse and speakers. Exoan will be a full-fledged brand soon and the
initial response in the market was good," said RM Rajesh, Partner, Envision
Infotec Pvt Ltd.
Envision Infotec is sourcing products from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong,
Singapore and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Envision has acquired DigiColor account from Uniaccess Corporates,
which was the distributor for Taiwan-based DigiColor pro-ducts in the region.
DigiColor offers products such as AGP cards, HDD casing, pen drives, camera,
speakers etc. "Although, there are some common products between DigiColor
and Exoan, the for-mer will be more on low-end while ours will focus on hi-end
market," clarified Rajesh.
Envision has appointed two regional distributors-Bafna Computers and
Univer-sal Microsystems, presently in Chennai and is planning to appoint
distributors in Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Pondicherry and other key upcountry
markets of Tamil Nadu. Similarly, it is in talks with few players in Ban-galore.
"First, we want to consolidate our position in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore,
before moving to other locations in south India. In the next stage, we will
explore options in other parts of the country," added Rajesh. Envision is
targeting Rs 1 crore business every month.
