Tyco starts manufacturing MIL certified products in India

Tyco Electronics has announced that it will start
manufacturing high end MIL certified product called refractive plate switch at
its facility in Bangalore. This family to MIL certified products would be used
by the Aeros-pace, defense and military organizations in India.

According to the company release, this is a phased pro-gram,
which begins with Tyco Electronics’ plans of manufactu-ring and marketing
rugged optical bypass switches from the Indian facility. In the second phase of
the program, the com-pany plans to add more pro-duct lines.
