A short-term training program on Application of MATLAB Simulink, Pspice for
Modeling and Simulations of Systems' was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of
Rajiv Gandhi Technology University, Prof PB Sharma, at the Maulana Azad College
of Technology (MACT) here on July 2nd, 2001. The program is being organized by
AICTE-ISTE. In his inaugural address, Prof. Sharma highlighted the significance
of IT- based technical education. He also spoke about the significance of
simulation and modeling applications for engineering research and development.
Earlier, Principal, MACT, Dr KS Sayann, expressed the hope that the training
program would be useful for the participants.
Prof SS Murthy, HoD of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology
(IIT), New Delhi, exemplified the modalities of modeling and simulation, and
spoke about his views during the program.
Prof Saroj Rangnekar, Project Coordinator, Energy Center, and Coordinator of
the program gave an account of the activities to be undertaken during the
two-week training program.
Prof Rangnekar further said that more than 40 professionals from various
parts of the country are participating in the program. The faculty members of
MACT were present in large numbers.
