TVSE joins hands with Tech Pacific 

To increase its market share in dot matrix printer segment in India, TVS Electronics (TVSE), manufacturer of computer peripherals, has tied-up with Tech Pacific, an IT distribution company. 

Under this association, Tech Pacific will distribute TVS-E's dot matrix printers, keyboards and consumables, which include print heads, ribbons, etc.

Srini Nageshwar, Director, TVS-E, said, "This association will increase our distribution width and enhance our penetration into the market deeply, cutting across the digital and economic divides, helping us realize our objective of taking IT to the heart of India."

TVS currently has 39 percent market share in dot matrix segment and with this partnership in hand, the company is expecting to increase it by 10 percent. The company has 40 distributors all across the country. The current market size of dot matrix printers in India is four lakh units per year and worldwide it is five million. The company is also planning to have printing available in local languages.

Tech Pacific with a sales of over Rs 170 crore in 2000-01 will further create demand for TVSE's products and increase its market reach.
