While the IT associations in various districts of Tamil Nadu have prioritized the key issues as the theme of the forthcoming financial year, the Tiruvannamalai District Information Technology Association office had made the health of the members, the most important aspect for the forthcoming financial year. The market is completely dependent on the home users and small enterprises. And some of the key areas that add value for the district are Gingee, Thirukovilur, Vandavasi, Polur, etc.

The district association, carved out of the Vellore association is around six-month-old and the same office bearers will assume office for the next financial year also. Speaking to ‘The DQ Week', V.Adimurugan, CEO, AVM computers, Tiruvannamalai who is also the president of the association said, "In a casual meeting held recently here, we found that the overall average age of the members in our association has crossed 40. I believe in sound mind in a sound body and we are very particular on insisting the growth of the channel partners health-wise than wealth-wise." Adimurugan also added that in the coming days, regular health-checkup for the family members their staffs. Adimurugan also said that initiatives will be taken for increasing the member head count by roping in the non-members to the association. "There are around 20 potential big players in the market whom we are planning to involve them soon", Adimurugan added.

Organ donation:
One of the new and first-of-its-kind initiative, the association brought in picture is ‘organ donation'. Speaking on the initiative, K.Venkatesan, Secretary, TVMITA, said, "We have recently passed a resolution on organ donation. According to that, members of our association who are interested can donate all the possible organs in their body after death." "This is not at all a compulsion and only those who are interested can accept this", said Venkatesan, who further added that the association will never hurt the deep religious and personal sentiments of individuals.
