TVMITA to cancel subscription fees

The new president of Tiruvannamalai Information Technology Association (TVMITA) has planned not to collect any subscription charges from the members for their association activities.

The new members of the association were elected recently after conducting an election. Saravanan, CEO, Frontech Systems, Tiruvannamalai will be the new president and R Tamil Selvan, CEO, Lotus Computer Park will be the secretary. D Venkatesan (treasurer), T Ramesh (VP), R Bala Ganesh (joint secretary) are the other office bearers.

Speaking to The DQ Week, Saravanan said, "The prime motive of the association during my tenure is not to collect any subscription fees from the members. Instead of that, we have planned to generate revenue from sources like melas or exhibitions. It is not easy to purchase a place for our office. However, during my stint as the president, TVMITA will have a dedicated office for the functioning of the association." About the member activities, Saravanan said that the members will be educated on the importance of having an association and the support they have to render for the smooth functioning of the association. On the social service activities, Saravanan said, "We have planned to conduct social welfare activities in all the old-age homes on a monthly basis in the town, apart from organ donation and insurance activities.

The new members will assume office soon in an event. The two-year-old association is the first in the state to implement SOUL (Stand On oUr Legs) project at district level.
