Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL), a limited mobile service
provider, has announced a new offer for CDMA mobile service under its brand TATA
Indicom. Under this new offer, a customer can get a CDMA mobile connection
including the handset at an initial cost of only Rs 2,600. TATA Indicom has now
under its fold over 465,000 customers spread across six circles of the country.
Further, customers going mobile today by availing this
offer can look forward to a host of other attractive schemes shortly. The offer
is being launched simultaneously in all the five circles where TTSL is offering
the CDMA mobile service such as Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat
and Delhi.
The offer has two options for the customer to choose from,
depending on one's requirement.
TATA Indicom 2000: Under this plan, customers can go mobile
by paying only Rs 2,600. This includes a non-refundable deposit of Rs 2,075 and
an activation fee of Rs 525. The monthly rental under this offer is Rs 450.
Customers need to pay Rs 150 per month towards handset recovery charges over 24
months. Customers can avail 190 free local calling units (equivalent to 570
minutes of free calls). Moreover, in this offer, charges for outgoing calls
(i.e. after using up 190 free calls) are lower at Rs 1.10 per three-minute call.
TATA Indicom 3000: Under this offer, customers can go
mobile by paying only Rs 3,600. This includes a non-refundable deposit of Rs
3,075 and an activation fee of Rs 525. The monthly rental is Rs 599 and
customers need to pay Rs 250 per month towards handset recovery charges over 10
months. Under this offer, customers can avail 400 free local calling units
(equivalent to 1,200 minutes of free calls). Moreover, in this offer, charges
for outgoing calls (i.e. after exhausting 400 free calls) are at Re one per
three-minute call.
