Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd (TTML) has unveiled the tariff structure for its CDMA services in the Maharashtra region. The tariff is identical of what TTSL has introduced in other circles. The service would be launched this month in five cities of
Maharashtra.
Speaking to CNS, YVL Pandit, COO, TTML said, “We don’t want to confuse our subscribers by launching different tariffs in different circles. Tariff will remain same in all the circles.” TTML would be coming out with four tariff plans that include Basic, Economy, Executive and Privilege. Basic 295 plan will have a rental of Rs 200 and plan fee Rs 95 and free 125 outgoing minutes. The call charges will be 80 paise per minute to WLL and cell and Re one to fixed line.
Economy plan 450 will have a rental of Rs 200, plan fee Rs 250 and free 400 outgoing minutes. The call charges will be 70 paise for WLL and GSM and 90 paise for fixed line. Executive-599 plan will have rental of Rs 200, plan fee Rs 399 and 700 minutes of free outgoing. The call charges are 60 paise for WLL and GSM and 80 paise for fixed line. Privilege plan 999 will have rental of Rs 200, plan fee of Rs 799 and 1,150 free outgoing minutes. Call charges will be 55 paise to WLL and GSM and 75 paise for fixed line. Pulse rate will be of 15 seconds for all calls.
TTML is not bundling the handsets with its CDMA offering and customers will be free to purchase handsets of their choice. The company has recommended Nokia, LG, Motorola and Kyocera CDMA handsets. TTML is also opening 25 franchisees in five cities in which it is going to launch its services that include Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Aurangabad and Pune. Eventually the service will be launched in nine cities including Goa. These franchisees will provide all the services that TTML is offering right from new connection to handsets.
The company is expecting a subscriber base of 2.5 lakh in its first year of operation. The company is also launching fixed line CDMA service simultaneously in all the circles. In the fixed line segment, the company has 2.32 lakh customers of which around 75 percent are corporate and is expecting to add around one lakh customers this year. Overall, the company is expecting half a million customers from both fixed line and CDMA services by the end of this year. The company generated revenue of Rs 360 crore last year and is expecting to cross Rs 500 crore this year.
