Trichy IT traders form association

Trichy now has an Association of Computer Traders, a sure indication that IT is making inroads into in Tamil Nadu's upcountry market. Maahesh Babu, Proprietor, Bits & Bites Consultancy, is the President of the association and B Kuberan, Proprietor, VBK Computers, is the Secretary of the same. Iyar Swamy, Proprietor, Ramtech Computers, is the Treasurer of the Association of Computer Traders,

Trichy.

"We started the Association of Computer Traders Trichy to address the concerns of the channel community here and to improve the status of the channel members," said Kuberan, who added, "in Trichy, customers look upon channels with a whole lot of suspicion. The aim of the association to motivate the channels towards conducting ethical business which would inturn make the customer trust us and the authenticity of the products we sell."

The Association of Computer Traders Trichy now has about 50 registered members and the number is likely to increase in the next few months. The exhibition, which the association recently organized in Trichy, was a huge success. 

The Association would be meeting in Kodaikanal at the end of this month to chalk out its agenda for next year. A pleasure trip to Cochin sometime in January 2003 is also on the anvil for the members of the association.
