Chennai-based SMS gateway solution provider, TransRim Technologies Pvt Ltd is
planning to expand its channel base globally by the end of December 2005.
Internationally, TransRim has presence in the US, Canada, Malaysia, Philippines,
Australia and Colombo mostly through its partners and plans to appoint partners
in Indonesia, Dubai, Ghana, and other European countries soon. The company's
flagship product SmsSentral is an interactive, non-web based, stand-alone
wireless productivity tool that enables data access and update to corporate
databases.
Informing about its company's channel strategies, Shankar S Khandadi, MD,
TransRim Technologies said, "We believe in marketing our products through
our channel partners. Globally, we have around eight partners and we intend to
increase this number at least by 12 by the end of this year."
In India, TransRim has three partners functioning from Chennai and Mumbai.
Khandadi added that the company intends to appoint more partners or SIs in the
places such as Ahmedabad, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, etc. in
near future.
"The partners, who are basically SIs specializing in some form of
software implementations, would also interact with government sector, public
sector undertakings, corporate segment, FMCG and retail segment," "
And 'SmsSentral' would also help these segments to be connected with the
database and also process the messages received via SMS.
TransRim has also signed up with some major venture capital funds to target
the global market recently. "Globally, market has been quite good for
TransRim over the last two years and we would continue to concentrate on the
international market in the near future. However, we would also focus on the
domestic front simultaneously," Khandadi said.
