Looking forward to reposition itself and evolve into a full fledged integrated solutions company, Transcend is about to undertake a massive marketing campaign besides coming up with exclusive solutions outlets in Delhi and Bengaluru.
The company is renowned as a usb drive and MMC card company with customer orientation primarily based along these two major product lines. However, with the inclusion of external HDs, photo frames as well other multimedia products in its kitty, the company is now keen to reposition itself not just with the end-users but in the channels too.
Explaining the move for the repositioning, Gaurav Mathur, Account Manager, Transcend said, "We want to change the perception of people judging Transcend as a pen drive and MMC company. Operating profits in India and sales are pretty good for us in India, but we are now targeting to evolve as an integrated solutions company".
As the first step towards this goal, Transcend will be shortly inaugurating exclusive solutions outlets in key locales in Delhi and Bengaluru and might consider venturing into other cities at a later date. The stores will be set up with Transcend distributors in these regions; however, Mathur refrained from giving the exact profit sharing margin and the capital funding required for this step.
"These stores will feature our entire range of solutions and will not just be any other buying point. These stores are targeted to cater to enquiries and make potential buyers as well as channel partners understand our notion of integrated solutions", Mathur added.
Besides its direct plan for a market repositioning and evolution into a solutions firm, Transcend is likely to address repeated service concerns in India shortly and has extensive plans to improve its service issues. However, details about the plan and the approach over service partners have not been divulged.
