Touchtel, by upgrading its switching system software, has launched two more services in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to benefit its customers. The first service of Touchtel known as `Selective Call Origination' enables the subscribers to go for need-based STD calls by offering a highly flexible and customer- specific solution. Through this feature a customer can allow STD or ISD calls to be made only to specific numbers (maximum up to 50) and keep rest STD facility closed.
Earlier, a subscriber had either to keep the entire STD facility locked or open. The new facility helps a subscriber to open access to specific cities and specific phone numbers in other cities.
The second one 'Selective Call Acceptance' enables a Touchtel customer to accept calls from a set of numbers predecided (up to 50 numbers), which would allow the customer to receive all calls that he prefers, while filtering out all other calls.
He can block unwanted incoming calls by using the service. P Swaminathan, CEO, Bharti Telenet Ltd said, "These value plus features based on latest telecom software are included with the objective of offering customer flexible and customized solutions for specific needs".
Swaminathan further informed that the state-of-the-art 4,000 km long Touchtel optic fiber transmission network ensures high speed and clarity and Bharti Telenet Ltd, a joint venture of Bharti Enterprises and Singapore Telecom, has brought Touchtel to Chhattisgarh and Madhya
Pradesh.
