Recently Toshiba's service center was opened at Bungalow Road in Kamla Nagar
in North Delhi. It purports to better cater the customers and resellers in North
and West Delhi. The opening event was presided over by Sivakumar N, Head-PC
Division, Toshiba India.
Ever since the launch of direct operations in Apr 2008, Toshiba has been
steadily scaling up its service infrastructure across India. Before the direct
operations were started, the company had 10 service centers. Today the number is
58.
Commenting on this center, Sivakumar said, “With the launch of this new
service center in Delhi, we are aiming to connect with our valuable customers
proactively. We are equipped to deliver the kind of infrastructure that is
extremely critical and essential for the people residing in North and West
Delhi.”
Strategically located next door to North Campus the center can cater to
students and staff members of Delhi University as prospective clients. Prem
Kumar Tirumani, a student, who has been living in Delhi University and owes a
Toshiba laptop said, “I have one Toshiba laptop I had to get repaired, but I was
never able to get to it. I generally go to Laptop Netbook World at Nehru Place.
It is really convenient to know that I don't have to travel so much and I can
get it repaired in Kamla Nagar itself.”
The existence of this center makes good business sense. This is because prior
to its opening, a Toshiba's service infrastructure was barely visible in this
region the North-western region of Delhi.
