Toshiba launches Portege Z830

Toshiba unveiled world's lightest Ultrabook - Portege Z830 in New Delhi recently. Weighing just 1.12kg and only 15.9mm thick, Portege Z830 has set a new standard for light and sleek laptops.

Commenting on the launch, Sivakumar N, VP, strategic marketing, product management and services, DS division, Toshiba India said, "The Portege Z380 is a testimony to Toshiba's engineering achievement and expert craftsmanship. I feel the ultrabook will be a great value for both mobile business professionals and consumers." He added, "We are continuing to push the envelope on innovation to give our customers faster, more powerful and smarter laptops."

Portege is built with some brilliant features like -full-size LED backlit keyboard, stereo speakers, Honeycomb Rib design casing and ultra-fast DDR3 memory among others.

However, what is striking about the product is some of its unique features like spill resistance and ‘sleep and charge' feature. The laptop has got the capacity to charge USB devices even in a switch-off condition. Portege Z830 has also gone through the highly accelerated life (HALT) test, which makes it highly resistant to accidental drops, shocks, extreme temperature changes and water-spills.

The product will be available in India market for Rs 96,290, providing a 3-years on-site warranty.
