TITA trains 200 Digital Leaders under Telangana Digithon

As part of the Digital Literacy Mission, Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) gave training to 200 students under Telangana Digithon program. TITA in association with Vignan Institute of Technology & Science organized a training session for students on Tuesday. Two Hundred students from the institute enrolled and received ‘Telangana Digithon’ training and certification.

“We are proud to release this new platform designed for Digital Leaders who will be in a position to provide digital training to vulnerable populations. This diverse knowledge community that comes together for Digital Literacy mission enables us to engage as trainers in preparing people who are not connected to Digital Tools and platforms which improves their quality of living” said TITA Vice President Ranapratap Bojjam.

Telangana Digithon is an ambitious project of Ministry of IT - Telangana Government that aims to make citizens of the state digitally literate and well verse with technology. It aims to train 10,000 digital leaders to spread the digital awareness to the remotest parts of the state. The initiative also aimed at narrowing the digital literacy gap by providing digital literacy with an easy-to-use platform. Telangana IT Ministry has joined hands with TITA to provide training to Digital Leaders.

As per the program, Digital Leaders will follow a fully-developed curriculum to teach. Each ‘Digital Leader’ will receive a certificate and will choose a specific area of the community to work with. TITA has targeted to prepare 10000 Digital Leaders in its first phase.
