TITA makes Rs 1.25 crore through expo

Tirupur Information Technology Association (TITA) has successfully conducted their third annual expo recently.

Speaking to ‘The DQ Week', P.Shanmugam, President, TITA, said, "This year, the response for the expo was beyond our expectation and there were 25000 walk in across all the stalls and it is a first-of-its-kind." He also added that usually the first day of the expo will have lukewarm responses, however, during this year the responses were very huge right from the day one.

On the sale of the machines, Shanmugam said, "We heard that some 20 to 30 products were sold in some stalls and in some stalls there were 15 in numbers." He also added that Lenovo, HP, Dell, HCL, Epson and Numeric were the brands which were brands which saw major sale. The association has also estimated total revenue of around Rs.1.25 crore generated from this exhibition. Lenovo was the key sponsor while Intel and Dell are the co-sponsors. Home segment was the one which did maximum entries. The marketing activities were also done across all the medium more thannten days before the event.
