TITA all set to Celebrate Bathukamma festival in IT Corridor

Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has recently celebrated Bathukamma (MahaGauri Devi) festival of Phoenix SEZ in IT Corridor. Large numbers of IT professionals along with their families have participated in this event to celebrate the festival. The occasion flourished with women and children dressed in colorful traditional attire and dancing to the melodies of Bathukamma. Prizes were distributed to the best Bathukamma and the event was followed by Dandia program in the evening.

Bathukamma festival is celebrated during the Bhadrapada Amavasya and is celebrated for nine days indicating the beginning of SarathRuthu. The cultural spirit of Telangana is represented by Bathukamma; It is an arrangement of colorful seasonal flowers with medicinal values stacked usually in seven concentric layers in a conical mound. Maha Gauridevi is worshipped in the form of Bathukamma during this festival. During the combined state of Andhra Pradesh, this festival was not given due consideration by the government and was not popularized. TITA applauds the Telangana government for recognizing Bathukamma as the Telangana state festival and encouraging the denizens to participate in large numbers in this cultural event. TITA intends to celebrate this festival every year in the backdrop of IT corridor and invites the people of Telangana to participate in huge numbers and keep the cultural essences thriving.” Informed TITA Founder and President Sundeep Kumar Makthala.

Actress Jaya Sudha speaking to media appreciated Team TITA for organizing Bathukamma in IT corridor and said that this is the first time she participated in Bathukamma and would be interested to participate every year.

Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has organized this cultural event with intent to light up the cultural spirits of the IT professionals. This gala event has acted as a good platform for all the IT professionals and their families to get involved and share their joys with the society. This event was attended by film actress & Ex.
