Tibco expands its BusinessWorks to IP

With the addition of Tibco DataExchange, Tibco delivers data integration
product through a Integration Platform

Tibco Software Inc, an enabler of real-time business and an inde-pendent
business integration software company, has ann-ounced that it has expanded the
Tibco BusinessWorks integration platform to include significant data integration
capabilities.

According to the press release, with Tibco DataEx-change, Tibco provides a
more robust and unified infrastru-cture to support business integration and
extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)-enhancing customers' ability
to integrate their enterprise and reducing the complexity, cost, and time
required to integ-rate large volumes of data in real-time, batch, or any
combination of the two.

The company claims that Tibco DataExchange, coupled with the Tibco
BusinessWorks platform enables organiza-tions to assemble a more complete view
of customers, products, and vendors by consolidating data from disparate
systems.

It also improves the quality and timeliness of key business decisions by
pro-viding the right data at the right time and increases employee producti-vity
thanks to a unified design model, rapid deployment mode, automated tasks, and
the use of metadata to capture, document, and share data assets across the
enterprise.

Tibco is leveraging Emb-arcadero Technologies' DT/Studio product for use
within Tibco DataExchange. Embar-cadero Technologies provides a suite of
award-winning pro-ducts that enables organiza-tions to efficiently and
accurately design, integrate, administer, and optimize critical enterprise
applica-tions and their underlying data-bases, data and meta-data. Tibco
DataExchange will leve-rage the extensible, standards-based, high-performance
data integration engine of DT/Studio within the new product.
