Themes for Competitive Edge: CII

In a bid to push the industry towards becoming
competitive, the CII, Western Region (WR), has come up with a national theme
called `Driving Growth through Competitiveness and Infrastructure', and a
regional theme called `Leadership Challenges for Sustained Growth'.

Anu Aga, Chairperson, CII, (WR) and Chairperson, Thermax
Ltd disclosed this. She said that CII was targeting enhancing the economic
growth of the region and improving social parameters.

Sandeep Maheshwari, Chairperson, CII MP Chapter, said:
“CII will lay emphasis on information technology by organizing seminars and
conventions. The state will also send a team to Bangalore, and will aim to
further development of information technology sector in the state.”

MS Tyagi, Vice-Chairperson, CII; CE Fernandes
Chairperson, Bhopal Zonal Council; and Zubin Kabraji, Director, CII, Mumbai,
also expressed their view. Kiran Wadhwana, past-Chairperson, CII, MP Chapter,
was also present on the occasion.

CII will assist Madhya Pradesh in areas such as design
inputs, creating a brand name, support for international certification, quality
control and marketing of products, and will help promote Madhya Pradesh at
different forums through representations, circulars and newsletters, etc.

Aga said, "Industry needs to be ready for
competition while government must deliver, and CII will push both for attaining
or even maintaining a sustainable growth."
