Cyber Expo Ltd., the successful organizers of PC Quest Series every year across the country, would close the current fiscal with two more shows in Coimbatore and Pune in March.

Processor major Intel is expected to hold the center stage with the demonstration of Pentium IV, the world's fastest chip based on advanced technologies. Compaq would supplement this by highlighting its P IV based computer machines for SOHO segment. While VSNL takes this as an opportunity to come face-to-face with public, Pacific Internet plans to go big with its newly launched Internet service. "Apart from this, there will be lot more to watch and we expect a huge crowd to gather for all the three days," said RS Rajesh Kannan, Marketing Executive, Cyber Expo Ltd.

According to the organizers, the three-day event will bring OEMs, channels and buyers together, apart from providing a platform for regional vendors to showcase their products under one umbrella. "We have strategically positioned this show just before the union budget so that participant companies will have enough time to make the follow-ups (of inquiries) before budget report comes into effect (ie., 1 April 2001)," said Kannan. MAIT and IDC hope significant sales to happen in March, inspite of the slowdown in IT spending by companies. "Chennai always remained as the critical play-field for IT companies and we expect major business this time," he felt.

Cyber Expo is conducting PC Quest Series of exhibitions in 25 cities across the country in the current year and plans to conduct 50 shows in the country, in the next year. The company has also to its credit of conducting international IT shows such as Bangalore IT.com, Nasscom 2001 and IT Kerala 2000.
