Telangana Academy and SAP Edu joined hands for Skill development

Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) announced at an event its collaboration with SAP India Education to boost IT education in the region. These courses from the SAP Student Academy Program have been designed with the vision of up-skilling youth of Telangana to promote professional expertise in the latest trendsetting applications. The association is aimed at upliftment of the youth by addressing impending challenges in skilling and drive fundamental social changes at the grassroot level.

MoU was exchanged in the presence of the Honorable Governor of Telangana & AP, ESL Narashiman, CM of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao other ministers and distinguished members from Government, Academia and Industry.

TASK is a nonprofit organization created by the Ministry of IT, Telangana for bringing synergy among institutions of Government, Industry & Academia and offer quality human resources and services to the industry. IT Minister KT Rama Rao said, “The new initiatives by TASK will boost the dynamic and evolving IT industry and help increase the job prospects of talented, deserving youngsters in Telangana. This will give an overall impetus to the industry at large.”

“The key focus at TASK is to enhance the employability quotient of young graduates in the state and enable them to be a part of India’s booming digital academy. TASK has been collaborating with industry leaders to provide skill based training to the students and make them industry ready”, said Sujiv Nair, CEO- TASK

TASK’s framework is designed to produce enough number of readily employable graduates by improving their IT skills. “SAP is dedicated towards building a digital economy and through this alliance students can gain access to engage with one of the world’s leading technology companies. With TASK, we aim to empower youth with technological skills required to give them a competitive edge for better career opportunities across the globe”, added David Osborne, Global Head Education – SAP.

Some of the other key initiatives from TASK include:

  • Soft skill development programs for Graduates
  • Faculty development programs
  • Technology Entrepreneurship Program for students in collaboration with ISB
  • Technology Skilling Programs in collaboration with Hitachi, Samsung, Infosys, IBM, Microsoft, Autodesk and SAP.
  • ESDM Scheme Implementation and coordination of Training Programs for Government Departments
  • Finishing School Programs for Corporates

The SAP Student Academy has been successful in imparting affordable SAP trainings to over 15,000+ students across 200+ institutes in India. SAP Education wishes to set-up Student Academy centers at various college campuses associated with TASK as the authorized education partner and facilitate e-learning.
