In line with its expansion plans, Kolkata-based Tech-nocrat is set to launch
a slew of products under brand Bitech. The company is bringing these products to
India in collaboration with the leading manufacturers of China, and Taiwan. The
first of the product range to be introduced in India includes UPS systems,
speakers, home theaters and computer tables.
Asif Khan of Technocrat expressing inability to disclose the name of
manufacturers said, "It is a leading UPS manufacturing facility and has a
worldwide market share of about 40 percent."
Targeted at the mid-range market segment the Bitech range of UPS systems are
competitively prices, informed Khan. Allaying doubts about quality Khan said,
"We have conducted R&D of the materials and their performance in Indian
conditions such as power fluctuation and moisture."
While the UPS consignment has already reached India the speakers, home
theaters and computer tables will hit the market by July-end, this year.
According to Khan, quality combined with aesthetics is the USP of the
speakers, which come with wooden casing. The speakers targeted at both high and
low-end market, will be available in the range of 2.1, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1.
Other products in the pipeline include modems, RAMs and cabinets. Initially,
the company will launch these products only in East India.
"We will be focusing strongly on brand positioning through advertising,
live demo of products in shops and by providing media support to our
dealers," said Khan.
Technocrat has plans to take the brand to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai,
Mumbai and Delhi. "In all likelihood we will launch the brand in the south
market by the end of this financial year," said Khan. He added that the
company is on expansion course. To cater to northeastern market Techno-crat
opened its first office in Guwahati, earlier this month. The company also has
presence in Bhubaneswar from the last two months.
Besides, the company's ret-ail outlet is set for a July inau-guration. The
sprawling 3,000 sq ft multi-brand showroom with a minimum of 1,500 sq ft display
area is located in the heart of the city and will focus on hi-end lifestyle
products. Live demos will be the USP of the showroom.
Technocrat is now looking at increasing its manpower. 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1.
