Techcom enters Uttar Pradesh

announced its entry in the state of Uttar Pradesh, with its range of
mobile handsets. Speaking at the press conference, Ajay Kumar Kedia,
Director, Techcom said, “Techcom's new handsets are in sync with
the company's history of innovation and commitment towards bringing
affordable quality products to life. The Techcom handsets symbolize
our pioneering technological advancement and continued focus on
R&D,
which proves to be revolutionary in enhancing the mobile user
experience.” He added, “The handsets were designed with an eye on
masses in urban and semi-urban areas. We will announce various
promotional offers in the next six months for brand-building. With
over 80 distributors in Uttar Pradesh and at least one service center
in each district, Techcom will sell phones in the range of Rs 1,500
to Rs 4,000 currently. With the extensive presence of our
distributors, service centers and a sizeable budget on marketing
spends, we hope to penetrate the mobile market extensively within the
next year.”

The company has a bouquet
of seven entry and mid-level handsets; comprising of feature-rich and
competitively priced dual SIM GSM models. The handsets have been
modeled keeping in mind the youth in urban and semi-urban cities,
which are stylish, on the move, confident, vivacious and above all
value for money. Techcom unveiled its seven models namely, T21, T31,
T33, T51, T55, T60 and TQ21 in India. The new mobile handsets are
dual SIM (GSM+GSM) basic sets with excellent quality and features,
that make it stand out in competition, to any other mobile phone in
the similar bracket.

Shridhar Bagade, Product
Head, Techcom said, “A huge amount of research has gone into the
making of these handsets. We had to strike a fine balance between
what would work with the Indian consumers and how we can offer that
extra edge, that brings to its product offerings. Therefore we have
compelling features that attract the masses such as 8GB external
memory support, MP4/3GP player, Bluetooth, FM radio, dual SIM
facility, personal data security, so on and so forth. We have
introduced T-21, the flagship model, with a MP4 / 3GP Video player
which is the best in its class. You can play full 3 hour length (200
MB) movies at one go and the handset is available at an amazing price
of Rs. 1500 only.”

In India, Techcom already
enjoys a high brand recall when it comes to IT peripherals and
electronic consumer goods. Techcom is present in over 30 countries
worldwide, broadly Nepal, Algeria, UAE, Lebanon, Kenya, Nigeria,
Middle-East, Uzbekistan and others. During the last eight financial
years, the company turnover has increased from Rs 5 crore in 2001-02
to Rs 157 crore in 2009-10.
