Tech park project launched in Punjab

Quark City India Pvt Ltd has launched its Quark City project in Mohali. Capt
Amarinder Singh, Chief Mini-ster, Punjab was the chief guest for the occasion.

According to the press release, built with an esti-mated total project
invest-ment of $ 500 million, the project will generate reve-nue for the state
in addition to the 25,000 direct and 100,000 indirect jobs accru-ing from the
2.8 million square feet of income generating space in the business and
technology park. This will be comple-mented by approximately 700 residential
units of diffe-rent sizes and features.

Through QuarkCity, Quark will introduce new and futuristic dimensions of
construction. The integrated township will conform to the standards of United
States Green Building Council. It aims to achieve the Platinum level LEED
certification for the entire township. Only six other buildings in the world
have achieved this certifi-cation till date.
