IBM India has announced a strategic agreement with Tech Pacific India Ltd for the marketing of IBM printers in the country. The agreement was signed by K Jaishankar, CEO, Tech Pacific and Alok Ohrie, Country Manager (Channels), IBM India Ltd.
Through TechPacific's wide reach in India, Tech Pacific would effectively map the market by way of a befitting stock and would ensure that the products are available to channel partners across the country. IBM will provide extensive training to Tech Pacific's personnel to develop their skill sets for marketing the printers and also provide them with regular product updates, value propositions and market understanding.
IBM will also complement Tech Pacific's efforts in providing pre-sales and after-sales support with the help of IBM product specialists in the field. The entire range of IBM printers is targeted primarily at corporate involved in mission critical business applications. The complete product range including the workgroup range of laser printers with speed ranging from 12 ppm to 40 ppm; high speed DMP printers designed to suit the industrial environments; 6400 family of impact printers for high volume printing environments, would be distributed in the domestic market through Tech Pacific.
In addition, the new 9068-A01/A03 range of passbook printers would also be made available through Tech Pacific. Said Ohrie, "This tie-up with Tech Pacific is in alignment with the company's strategy to focus on channels and best-of-breed business partners to develop successful e-business infrastructure in the country. IBM India will market the complete printer product range entirely through its distribution channel and reseller network."
