Team Computers organizes partners meet

Delhi based Team Computers Pvt Ltd organized a partners meet in Delhi and the meet was well attended by more than 50 of its channel partners in the region. “This is a part of our initiative to engage ourselves more clo-sely with our channel partners.

We will continue to organize such events at other metropo-litan locations. After this we are going to have a similar event in Chennai very soon,” informed, Ranjan Chopra, Chairman, Team Computers.

The company is bracing itself up for having a better infrastru-cture to improve on customer care. “Customer satisfaction is a major issue for us and we want to have an environment wherein more than 80 per cent of our customer’s problems are being solved within an hours time. This is a huge task but we are on our way to implement that,” Chopra informed.

To initiate this, the company has created an online infrastru-cture for its customers to lodge their complaints. “So far we have been able to rectify 72 per cent of our customer’s problems within an hour and it is a big achievement for us,” he added.

In its bid to have a new face, the company has selected a new managing director for the com-pany. “I just wanted to give this responsibility to someone else and we have chosen Henry Ellis as our Managing Director. I

am sure that he will take this company to greater heights,” Chopra added.

With an aim to diversify into the area of managed services, the company has recently for-med a subsidiary–TeamServe. The company is targeting the BPO and the call center com-munity for its services and offerings in this direction. “This is a hot area and with India well poised to be the BPO destina-tion of the world, managed ser-vices is going to be a big busi-ness. We want be a managed services provider in the region, identifying the right sized process and bundling it with our managed services delivery model,” explained, Tanmoy Majumder, MD,

Speaking to different stra-tegic partners of Team Compu-ters, P Raghuraman, Product Manager (Business desktops), Personal Systems Group at HP, informed that the company has launched three different PCs–D 220, D 330 and D 530 for diff-erent market segments. “All these systems cater to different market segments like D 220 is for small businesses, D 330 is ideal for those who want the latest and it has hyper threading technology equipped chip while the D 530 is for the large corpo-rate houses and some of them have shown a lot of interest for this series. Later on this series will also support Prescott–the next generation chipset from Intel,” he added.
