TCS to build GDC in Orissa

The building is expected to be set up in two years

After taking possession of about 3,800 square feet area in Fortune Tower in
Bhubaneswar last month, Tata Consultancy Ser-vices (TCS) is now gearing up to
set up its Global Software Development Center (GSDC) in the state.

According to Ajoyendra Mukerjee, VP, TCS, the build-ing, which is expected to
be built in two years, will accommodate about 1,000 to 1,200 professionals in
the first phase and will initially employ about 200 IT professional.

Apart from meeting the needs of foreign clients, the development center will
make multiple deliveries for the nation and the state government.

The TCS Global Software Development Center is slated to come up over 45 acres
of land in the Infocity and the building and provision of other asso-ciated
facilities in it are estimated to cost about Rs 40 crore.
