TCA, JASA sign MoU to enter embedded technology industry

In order to strengthen embedded technology, Taipei Computer
Association (TCA) and Japan Embedded Systems Technology Association (JASA)
signed a letter of intention for cooperation memorandum of understanding, (MoU),
to bring in more technologies from Taiwan and enter the huge Japan market with
total value of Yen 680 billion. The Embedded Technology 2006 (ET 2006) is the
largest embedded technology exhibition in Asia, formally launched off on Nov 15
at the Pacifico Exhibition Hall in Yokohama, Japan. This year's TCA organized
a delegation of top enterprises in Taiwan including eMemory Technology Inc (EMTC),
Asix Electronics Corp, Axiomtek Co Ltd, Linpus Technologies Inc, Kontron Asia
Inc, Malico Taiwan Inc, Tibbo Technology Inc, IEI Technology Corp, Arphic
Technology Co Ltd, Evalue Technology, ADLINK Technology inc and others who
displayed latest industrial computing devices, equipments, application solutions
and other related items.

Sakura Yang, leader of the delegation expressed that both
sides can create long-term relationships through trade and development,
information and technologies exchange and other activities. Yang also encouraged
his counterparts to ask Japanese entrepreneurs to visit Taiwan often to attend
seminars. Forums and other events such as Computex Taipei, CarTronics Taipei and
eMEX SuZhou (China), where the exhibitors are from Taiwan and who have the
manufacturing strength to produce almost any information technology hardware
which are the leading suppliers to world's demand. The local Japanese
companies can grasp this opportunity and quickly find the items they want and
provide working solutions in the shortest time, as both sides will continue to
develop future market together.

The Embedded Technology 2006 also attracted several top
international manufacturers including Intel, Renesas, Texas Instruments,
Hitachi, NEC, Fujitsu, Microsoft, ARM and many others industry particularly from
the automotive industry with big names such as Toyota, Nissan, Mazda,
Mitsubishi, DENSO and institute technology. During the ET2006, the organizer
also invited top speakers and arranged several leading-edge technologies forums,
with topics ranging from electrical home appliances, electronics application in
automobile sector, mobile telecommunication, embedded software development and
so forth.
