Keeping in view the expansion plans that Tata Teleservices has in Gujarat, it has started its Tata Indicom services in Rajkot, the commercial capital of Saurashtra region of Gujarat.

Inaugurating the services, Jagrut Vyas, COO, TTSL, said that the Rajkot market is as important to him as any other big city because of its high potential. Rajkot would have three franchisees.

TTSL has already invested to the tune of Rs 200 crore in setting up its Rajkot operations. Among the services that Tata offers now, the CDMA wireless and fixed wireless lines have already been a huge success, according to the market survey.

In Gujarat, TTSL would shortly start its CDMA services in the SDCA areas of Gandhidham, Jamnagar, Bardoli, Vapi and Navsari. It already has operations in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and now in Rajkot

With investment over Rs 10,000 crore and more than 5.4 lakh customer base, slowly and steadily and more importantly - silently - Tata Indicom is making inroads into many of its competitors.
