Tata launches 'Don't Stop Mobile'

Tata Teleservices Ltd has introduced 'Don't Stop Mobile'
launched across 20 circles all over India to redefine the existing prepaid
wireless market in the country.

The Tata Indicom 'Don't Stop Mobile', allows its
customers to make free outgoing calls for a period of two years to any Tata
Indicom mobile or Tata Indicom fixed phone or Walky within respective states for
a maximum duration of 3,600 minutes. The subscribers will also be getting an
initial talk time of Rs 10 for calls to phones belonging to other telephone
service providers.

'Non Stop Mobile', our 'Don't Stop Mobile' is an extension of our
commitment and vision to transform and revolutionize the Indian telecom industry

Limited, at the launch.

The new product saves the subscribers from the fixed monthly
commitment of recharging and can recharge with any recharge voucher, starting
from Rs 50 and have 100 percent talk time. Subscriber can use the value till the
entire validity period of the mobile.

The 'Don't Stop Mobile' is available with four types of
handsets including, Indicom Ace priced at Rs 2,229, Haier D 1000 priced at Rs
2,499, Kyocera Prisma (color) priced at Rs 2,799 and Indicom Star (color) priced
at Rs 3,749.

'Non Stop Mobile' customer can also upgrade himself under
the new scheme and avail the same benefits. "This recent venture is in line
with the Tata vision of making the mobile phones affordable to the masses,"
added Puri.

He also announced that TTSL has a plan to invest Rs 600 crore
in Eastern India for the current fiscal (2006 — 2007) out of which Rs 265
crore will be spend for Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal and the balance
will be shared between the other Eastern states, wherever TTSL has a presence.
The company has already invested Rs 832 crore in the same region during the last
fiscal (2005 — 2006).

Puri also informed that Tata Teleservices has a plan to
increase its user base to 2 million in the next eight months and cover at least
488 (currently 206) towns in the east. It has plans to enhance its number of
base station towers to 1,246 from the current number of 727 in the region by the
end of this fiscal.

"We have a market share of 10 percent in Kolkata based
on net increment and are expecting to increase the customer base here to 2
million by March 2007," said Puri.

TTSL is also planning to introduce its operation in the North East by this
year and is also analyzing the economical viability of initiating operations in
the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
