Targus appoints Rashi as its national distributor

Targus has announced the appointment of

Peripherals as its national distributor for its entire range of
products.

India, said, “We are genuinely excited about the opportunity in
India. There is a huge growth in notebook usage and consumers are
becoming more interested in quality backpacks and accessories. Retail
is becoming more organized and interested in providing more of a
total solution to the consumer including backpacks and accessories.
By appointing Rashi as its ND, Targus now aims to further its
endeavor to expand in the Indian market. Targus sees this as a great
opportunity and will be able to leverage Rashi's strength of
breadth with 53 branches across India, especially in B & C-class
cities and more than 9000 partner base across 425 towns.”

Targus India's strategy will be to
leverage its global leadership position and continuously develop the
channels in India through Rashi. It will also focus on global product
development programs which will include research on Indian consumers
to provide relevant products at competitive prices and to enhance
customer experience.

Commenting on the tie up, href="http://dqchannels.ciol.com/content/space/109051906.asp">Rajesh
Goenka, VP-Sales and Marketing, Rashi Peripherals, said,
“Partnering with Targus will add value for our distribution kitty.
We will now be able to provide world class laptop and PDA accessories
to the Indian consumers through our supply channel. We will work
closely with the Targus India team to facilitate branding and
marketing of the products.”
