Tandberg appoints Select as authorized distributor

Information storage products manufacturer, Tandberg’s Asian subsidiary TD
Asia, has ann-ounced the appointment of Select Technologies as its authorized
distributor in India. With this, Tandberg aims to promote its backup storage
solutions across the metros and major cities of the country.

"Both Select Technologies and Tandberg share the core competence of
offering sto-rage and security solutions and we decided to utilize this
synergy," said Ashok Kumar, Sales Director (South and West Asia), Tandberg
Data(Asia) Pte Ltd.

Tandberg aims to expand its reach in India with this move. Indian accounts
for 40 percent of Tandberg’s busi-ness in the Asia Pacific region (excluding
Japan and Korea). The company earned $ 5.5 million in revenues from India and
plans to grow to $ 9.5 million this year.
