Solutions recently conducted an annual premier
event called Udaan, for channel partners. The event was attended by
more than 150 'Master Tally Partners' from across the country. Shoaib
Ahmed, President, Tally Solutions, sharing details on the programme
said, “Partners are our backbone. They are instrumental in helping
us achieve success.Udaan was our initiative to thank our partners and
help them understand the business nuances. We wanted the event to be
on completely one-to-one basis, so that every partner can connect
with us.” The company has also announced that it will set aside a
fixed budget every year for partner development programmes and will
conduct this event every year.

two-day residential programme saw partners sharing their achievements
and goals. Uday Holla, Proprietor, UK International said, “We are
authorized partners for Tally, HP, APC, Seagate etc. Inventory
management and warranty tracking were difficult to track.
Maintainence of cash and liability records were also posing a huge
challenge. Using Tally's ERP 9, vendors shipments are scanned
through barcodes. Since it has feature of cross docking, our other
problems are reduced to a great extent.”

has tier-2 channel structure in India. Its current strength is about
150 Indian partners and 30 global channel partners. Partners are
identified with their line of business and classified as Master Tally
Partners (MTP), Tally Service Provider (TSP) or Tally Integrator
(TI). About 90 premium partners were selected for a breakthrough
workshop, which enhanced their business acumen, apart from the event.
Elaborating on this Ahmed said, “Tally believes in channels and
will never get into direct business. Our revenue model has been
designed in such a way, that every MTP and secondary partner will
earn a sizeable share on each sale. India has roughly about 7,50,000
SME's and 2,00,000 large enterprises, which we are planning to
capture. This is only possible with the help of our partners.”

all other companies, Tally was also grappling with piracy issues. The
company is spreading awareness by educating partners and has placed
stringent rules to curb the same. Having a wide spread network of
over 3000 service points with more than 20,000 system integrators,
Tally is aiming big and high this year.
