In a bid

to

target IT resellers across India, href="https://www.dqweek.com/tally-concludes-udaan-2011-in-bengaluru">Tally

Solutions is planning to

conduct a total of 121 workshops in 55 cities by March 5, 2012.

The

company has already organized 6 workshops in Bengaluru itself.

Titled as

'Mathematics of Happiness,' the workshops are intended to help

resellers scale up their business. Tally is investing huge

amount of

resources in this initiative, and according to it, this would be

one

of the key enablers for speeding up the IT adoption in the

country.

Avinash

Gupta, president, Tally Solutions said, “While 'Mathematics of

Happiness' workshops are being conducted by Tally, these are not

focused on Tally as an organization or product. These workshops

are

about planning and enabling the resellers for explosive growth

in the

IT space. If we look at the landscape, around 4 mn SMEs have

adopted

IT in the last 20 odd years out of 8 mn. We as a country don't

have

the luxury of waiting for another 20 odd years for other 4 mn to

adopt IT. We need to add velocity to the whole IT adoption. The

workshops provide an opportunity to the IT reseller community to

consciously recognize the opportunity and work out specific

plans to

cater to it and to add momentum to their growth.”

According

to

the data, Tally has less than 7 lakh installed base of its

licenses

and therefore it seems that Tally is targeting to expand its

business and aims to get good revenue out of this.

Gupta

further

added, “These workshops are not about Tally sales, but about

growth

in the total IT business of a partner. We are very confident

that

after these workshops, once partners start adopting and

practicing

the learnings, they will see a quantum jump in their revenues.

We believe the increase could be more or around 100% in the next

12-24

months.”

Speaking

on

the benefits of these workshops, Mitesh Jain, RT Computers said,

“As

of now only master Tally partners are able to provide services

and

support to their customers but after these workshops, it may

also

help small dealers know the technicality of this software and

deal

directly with their customers in terms of service and support,

apart

from their business benefits.”
