Solutions has
announced the launch of an online application store, called
'TallyShop', which addresses the need of the customers, who want
to deploy ready to use add-on applications that provide specific
functions to their existing ERP at affordable prices.

Sunil Gupta, AVP, Tally
Solutions said, “Tally.ERP 9 is a broad-based application, which is
used across all known segments, scale of operations and geographies.
We have over 100 development partners, who build these specific
capabilities as individual customization projects. We felt it makes
sense to our customers and partners to get them all on to a market
place-TallyShop.”

The company believes that
the effort and time taken to customize the applications will be
reduced to zero. And from a customer's viewpoint, with TallyShop
being available, customization will become simpler, as well as
cost-effective. Moreover, this online application store will be able
to connect Tally Integrators, who are development partners of the
company and reaches 500,000 odd customers with their specialty
offerings. This will also reduce cycle time for ERP purchase and
deployments. All this will be available within the software and will
be an integral part of Tally ERP.9 Series 'A' Release 3.0
onwards.

“TallyShop is truly a
unique initiative to reduce cycle time and lubricate the sales
process. Today, many sales get extended due to specific local
customer needs-implying customization. Not only is time spent, the
overall cost to customers is higher. Many of our reseller partners
are also not keen to get into the various elements of custom
requirements. With TallyShop, it now becomes easy to locate most (if
not all) add-ons, like the sale is quicker and customer satisfaction
is at an all-time high,” pointed out Gupta.

Meanwhile, the add-on
applications are priced at Rs 180 and will be available to customers
in about 100 countries where Tally.ERP 9 is increasingly being
adopted. Customers will be able to choose from 18 categories, ranging
from office productivity to banking and finance, outstanding
management, inventory management, business verticals, reports, alerts
and controls, etc, under which these applications have been featured.
The built-in search engine allows for smart searches that display the
add-ons as well as filters them as per user category, whether the
user is a single or multi-license user.

“We have also done an
extensive training event covering all solution partners and active
sales partners. Flash demo's and FAQ's are also available online,
in addition to dedicated partner support help desks. It is important
to note that training is something that is unlikely to be needed, as
we do truly build our products with the 'power of simplicity',”
added Gupta.
