Tally appoints Softmart Solutions as AMTP

After distributing Tally software for about 10 years, Softmart Solutions was
recently appointed as an Authorized Associate Master Tally Partner (AMTP). Tally
has appointed 25 AMTPs across the country. Earlier the vendor had Master Tally
Partners (MTPs) who were appointed region specific, but the new set of AMTPs can
cater to all regions.

The condition in this partnership is that existing dealers of Tally are not
allowed to buy the software from the AMTPs, but instead they need to find new
dealers. “This status basically means we need to create our own channel for
selling Tally software,” explained Alok Gupta, CEO, Softmart Solutions.

The distributor has already got a list of 150 new partners who have
registered to sell Tally software. But because of the clause Gupta expressed
that the sales of the software were a fraction of what was expected.
